Kyle confronts a major new DC threat that's headed toward Earth! Meanwhile, someone very close to Kyle is dying.Kyle has a very unexpected run-in with the Flash and the Atom!California- Kyle Rayner talks to Doctor Mahdavian about Maura Rayner's condition. The Doctor has run dozens of test and although he has ruled out cancer he still can't discover what is making Maura sick. After doctor leaves the room Kyle talks to his comatose mother and explains he should be around more often. Then expectantly one of the Guardians projects himself into the hospital room and demands that Kyle come to Oa, Kyle refuses at first but when his mother wakes up and tells him he should go she'll be find Kyle decides to go.As he is leaving Earth something pulls him mentally to the shoreline where he finds a destroyed tree house. As he looks for survivors he is blind sided by The Flash and Atom of the Tangent Universe. After a brief battle that ends with Kyle unconscious the Flash and Atom, then place the Green Lantern's lantern on Kyle and The Green Lantern, of the Tangent Universe appears.Meanwhile the Monitors see what has transpired and have decided Kyle Rayner must die.
